I like data.  I like learning.   Reading statistics on obscure topics is fun for me.  I could visit the International Museum of Powertools and be enthralled.  Heck, I adore the Smithsonian Institution and lately I’ve been playing around their Museum of Natural History Website – look what I found today!

I’m pretty sure that’s what was most appealing about studying hand analysis.  The fact that I COULD study it.  And learn it. And have a reference library to help me as I grew in my skill set.  I still remember being one of 7 students in my certification class and being told that I could and should feel free to use my intuition now and again.

I was so adamant to learn all there was to learn about hands so that I could accurately and effecively help others – I was shutting OFF my intuition or gut-instincts throughout my entire learning process.

Recently I went through all my hand print files and notes and compiled a list of Gift Markings, Life Lessons, Life Purposes and Schools – -because as a hand analyst and teacher, I’m aware that I don’t learn in a vaccuum.  Usually whatever I most need to be aware of in my own life shows up in patterns in the hands of my clients.

If there’s a problem or issue I’m facing, it’s likely I’ll have several clients with the same issue showing up in their hands.  Generally the fifth time I’ve seen a gift marker and explained the penalty to the client, along with suggestions on putting the gift to work in their life, I realize it’s time to heed my own advice!

Here’s what I’ve discovered about the hands I’ve been reading in the last couple of months:

  • 49% are in the School of Love*
  • 44% are in the School of Service
  • 10% are in the School of Wisdom
  •  7% are in the School of Peace

* You can be in two schools – 10% of my sample were in two schools

As far as gift markings go, here they are in order of appearance – -remember people may have no gift markers or may have multiple gift markers in their hands.  (I’ll be continuing the discussion of gift markers over the coming weeks – so if you want to learn more about a particular gift, click the link!)   (remember these are percentages in the hands I’ve been reading — not necessarily in the human population as a whole!)

In future posts I’ll talk about trends in life purposes or life lessons – how they play out and what types of gifts are generally seen with a particular combo.  For instance, since the penalty for The Healer is a feeling of isolation and loss of intimacy — the gift marking often shows up on the hands of someone who has life lessons around issues of self-worth or trust.
