I’ve completed a number of readings lately — just a few more to go from the $97.00 special I offered earlier this month. And I’m working hard to finish the draft of “Your Introduction to Non-Predictive Palmistry.”It’s the home study guide and work book for you to use as you expand your knowledge of Hand Analysis. I’m also going to make it available to the students who register for the intermediate teleclasses!
Enough about what’s going on here at the office — here’s a few questions I received from a client who has just received her audio reading. She’s a 30-something woman living in Georgia.
“I did want to ask you a couple of questions. You mentioned me being in the “school” of love…out of curiosity…what are some other “schools”?”
The hand analysis system I use to identify your school, your life purpose and your life lesson is based on the work of Richard Unger. He is the founder of the International Institute of Hand Analysis and is the author of the book LifePrints (which you can find by following the link above to the bookstore).
There are four schools found in hands. They are indicative of the key traits each human deals with as they manifest their life purpose and make peace with their life lesson. Each school does NOT stand alone. Much like having a major while you’re in University – you will simply filter all of the other information in your hands through your school. You’ll dabble and go through issues and successes related to each school, but your school (and you may have two – just like a double major!) colors the way you approach your purpose, your gifts and your lesson.
As with everything in the hands – your school is neutral. There is a yin and a yang variation and depending on whether you’re living at a master or student level on any given day will affect how you view your school.
The four schools and their predominant gifts and challenges are:
-
Service: the pursuit of being in joyful service to humanity. It shows up as a keen desire to make a difference in a big way in the lives of many. The challenge can be a refusal to take time to serve oneself or a feeling of servitude. If you are in the school of service it’s imperative that you learn how to be served (and ask for what you need/want) in order to remain in the positive side of this school. All your other gifts, lessons and purpose will go through the filter of finding a way to serve with joy and being at choice as to how and when you will be of service.
- Love: the pursuit of creating emotionally authentic relationships with others AND yourself as opposed to stuffing your feelings away. Stuffing feelings can be a natural reaction if you’ve been told to “not be so sensitive” or to “suck it up” – particularly so if you heard those things a great deal when you were younger. You may have learned that being open and authentic with your feelings was a dangerous position to be in – however – the highest exclamation of your purpose will come when you ensure that you are being emotionally authentic in all areas.
- Wisdom: the pursuit of making wise decisions versus the desire to hesitate and sit on the fence without choosing sides. The challenge is feeling afraid of making a choice for fear of making the wrong decision. You may wait til you are literally forced off the fence before making a decision, instead of weighing your options and choosing based on your keen insight.
- Peace: is the pursuit of stillness and calm versus a feeling of panic or physical distress. You may find those in the school of peace need a great deal of stillness and organization in their life. They may move slowly and prefer to spend most of their time on the couch – until they feel the urge to prove to themselves that they are “alive” and they pick a risky action to throw themselves into.
Each of us has a school that we’re majoring in here on Earth. However, each of us can also related to the other schools. They are broad and simply provide a window for us to look through as we pursue the state of being in our purpose and learning to make peace with our Lesson.
What school are you in? If you’ve had your hands read feel free to share your school in the comments section!
